Artificial Grass SA’s project briefing for Curro Waterfall pre-school, was to design, construct and install a unique and challenging putt putt course, whereby learners could improve their gross and fine motor skills, whilst having a lot of fun in the process. The entire area needed to be relaxing and inviting, with bright colours interspersed between the lovely green landscaping hues and putting greens. Blue grass for ‘water’, and white grass as ‘sand’ bunkers, together with animal ornament obstacles, culminates in a fantastic putt putt course, that not only looks aesthetically ‘ Wow’, but is also challenging and a lot of fun. Apart from the contrasting bright colours, the animal obstacle ornaments add wonderful character to each hole and the area in general. The animal obstacles can be moved on a daily / weekly basis, to make each hole easier or more difficult. This way, learners are kept interested as they love the daily new challenges. Break can never come too soon for the learners to get out and play.
Apart from the putt putt course, the immediate surrounding area also needed to be relaxing and inviting. The introduction of brightly coloured tables and benches in and around the 9 hole putt putt course, provided a wonderful setting for the learners. Here they can eat their lunch whilst watching fellow learners take up the challenge. A wonderful end product indeed. Have fun kids!!
